ABOUT ORW
ORW members have many interests, areas of expertise and talents and come from varied backgrounds and geographic locations. As a community we celebrate this and delight over the connections we are able to make in Oakmont Village.
Oakmont Rainbow Women is a membership organization within Oakmont Village Association. We welcome all Oakmont Village lesbians, women-identified members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, and women-identified allies.
ORW provides opportunities to:
- Socialize/Connect/Network with others who share similar life experiences
- Gain knowledge about topics of interest to the LGBTQ community
- Provide and receive social support within this lesbian community
- Participate in community service relevant to LGBTQ needs.
Programs and Activities
- Monthly social and/or educational gatherings
- Gatherings by ad hoc special interest groups
- Annual Pride Parade and Picnic
- Annual Holiday Party
ORW Caring Circle
Oakmont Rainbow Women care for our own!
The Caring Circle was created to make it easier for ORW members to help each other in times of need. Volunteers help to arrange meals, rides, errands, and the like for members in need of short-term assistance. The Circle is currently working on providing services for those who need more long-term resources.
Any ORW member can volunteer to help.
