GroupMe Guidelines

As more and more of the SIGs are using the GroupMe App for communication, the ORW Board developed guidelines for usage.

ORW GroupMe Guideline for SIGs:

• The GroupMe group chat for each SIG will be managed by an administrator who will ensure that only ORW members are admitted.
• Members using GroupMe are encouraged to use the group chat for SIG related content.
• If “Events” are set up for SIG activities, members should click either, “I’m in” or “Can’t Go”. This will reduce unnecessary “chatter” on GroupMe.
• Members should not contribute to unnecessary “chatter” with “me too” type of comments within GroupMe.
• Administrators may delete posts at their discretion. 
• Members should fact check their information before posting.
• The use of GroupMe is voluntary.
